Inspired Retreat Fall 2017

2017 has been a big year for myself and MCR. I was beginning to see clients come in who were referred to me by previous clients which may be one of the most humbling parts of running my business. To know my client was so happy with myself and my services that they would recommend me to their family and friends means the world to me.

I also started to dive deeper into parts of my business I tried to just push aside such as blogging and learning more about SEO. I knew I had to conquer them at some point but my usual procrastinating self just wasn’t ready for it until now.

Last I decided to really invest in some education that would not only benefit how I run my business by how I run my life. During the winter time last year into this year I started listening to Podcasts and researching new creative entrepreneurs and their businesses. While doing this I came across Amber Housley and her world of knowledge. I began following all of her social media and signed up for her emails, pretty much becoming obsessed with anything she put out there. Then I found out about her Inspired Retreat and I was hooked. For one it was held in Tennessee right outside of Nashville which was quickly becoming one of my favorite cities, but as I read more and more about this retreat I was quickly becoming inspired! Between the stories of past participants and the beautiful natural accommodations, I knew this was something I needed to do. With much thought and knowing the financial needs it took to do this I decided to just do it and I was officially signed up!

Every thought and concern I had about this retreat quickly went out the window the moment I stepped onto the property of Evins Mill. Over the next 4 days I learned so much from the other 40 female creatives both attending and teaching at this retreat. We shared lots of laughs and some tears. Hopes for the future and fears of the present. In 4 days I gained more than just ideas and inspiration, I gained a support system for myself and my company. I left Evins Mill with the feeling that I could accomplish anything I set my mind to, something I had lost along the way of starting my business.

I am thrilled to continue to follow these women through social media and see all the wonderful things they are accomplishing knowing that we have a bond and connection that cannot be broken. Thank you Amber for creating this amazing retreat and sharing it with all of us. 2018 is going to be an amazing year!

PS. Amber and her team did a FANTASTIC job creating beautiful themes for each of our gatherings, captured beautifully by the talented Gina Zeidler!
